The memories we carry with us – whether they be the ones that we make ourselves, or the ones that none of us actually possess but that live within our cultural memory – define us. 

What we choose to remember and what we choose to forget allows us to choose who we will become. 

I create pieces out of those fragments of memory I have of events, people, or the stories people have told me.
